Funny, that

I can feel a migraine coming on. My chest is tight, my lower jaw aches, and the air scrapes the inside of my nose as I breathe. I wonder why they call it a headache?

About the project

A 'small stone' is a short piece of observational writing, or as the form's creator Satya Robyn puts it, 'a polished moment of paying proper attention'.

Satya leads a yearly event, held every January, in which writers from around the world commit to writing one small stone every day for a month.

In January 2012 the event was called 'A River of Stones' – hence the name of this blog. In January 2014 the event is called the 'Mindful Writing Challenge'.
